The following is the second of many stakeholder updates that we regularly send via email to our internal network. Typically, stakeholder/investor updates are kept private and confidential. In the spirit of transparency and accountability, I decided to publish our stakeholder updates (but left out a few confidential numbers). Who knows, maybe it'll lead to something great. If you are interested in getting on the list to receive future stakeholder emails, subscribe here.
Hey there, happy Thursday!
I do not have plans or ambitions to raise money for Thursday Labs in the next year or two. But, I am a big fan of investor updates.
More importantly, I’m a big fan of transparency, building in public, taking accountability, and asking for help. So, this is the second of many stakeholder updates that I send out regularly to the Thursday network.
We build marketing engines for seed-stage startups who are ready to start creating content, but are slightly too early to hire a world-class VP of Marketing.
For around 6 months, we produce the podcast and run their blog, newsletter, social media channels, and website. Meanwhile, we build their playbook for success on each channel and figure out their unit economics.
When we’re done, we source, train and hire a VP of Marketing from Thursday Club, our private community of marketing executives, to run the playbook.
Origin Stories & Hosting Unique Events with the Co-Founders of We Belong Here Music Festival
In the last stakeholder update, I mentioned that we were kicking off with POSH, a seed-stage event-management platform. Here’s where that landed:
We prefer not to disclose the metrics and results of our client’s content, but we are thrilled to share that within the first few days of launching Episode 01, POSH’s co-founders have received a number of emails and texts from investors and customers who have dragged their feet in the past, asking to re-engage by investing and hosting events on their platform.
Overall, people are impressed with the production quality, and it’s proving to have stellar results for our clients. As we’ve been saying for years; quality always wins.
That’s all for now, folks. Got any advice or ideas as to how we can improve? I’m all ears.
Major gratitude to everyone who has been involved since the start.
Cheers and happy Thursday 😉
