The following is the first of many stakeholder updates that we will regularly send via email to our internal network. Typically, stakeholder/investor updates are kept private and confidential. In the spirit of transparency and accountability, I decided to publish our first stakeholder update (but left out a few confidential numbers). Who knows, maybe it'll lead to something great. In some ways, it took me ten years to write this update. In other ways, it took me about a day.
I’ll start by saying hey, hi, hello! You’re receiving this email because you’re a friend of my company, Thursday Labs, and you have been involved in one way or another over the last decade. Next month will mark the 10 year anniversary of when I originally started the company under the name Eyesight Creative.
I do not have plans or ambitions to raise money for Thursday Labs in the next year or two. But, I am a big fan of investor updates.
More importantly, I’m a big fan of transparency, building in public, taking accountability, and asking for help. So, this is the first of many stakeholder updates that I will be sending out regularly to the Thursday network.
Last Thursday, I announced the “re-birth” of my company under a new name (Thursday Labs) and an evolved direction.
We build marketing engines for early stage startups who are ready to start creating content, but are a little too early to hire a world-class VP of Marketing.
For 6-12 months, we produce high quality organic content to help our companies find product-channel fit, their ideal distribution channels, and figure out their unit economics. Quickly.
When we’re done, we source, train and hire a VP of Marketing from Thursday Club, our private community of marketing executives, to run the playbook.

The Q1 goal is $X MRR
We quickly reached $X in MRR (67% of our Q1 goal) since we launched last week. Feeling good about this!
We focus on early-stage B2C, D2C, and sometimes B2B brands. Most have recently raised $1-5M. All industries.
Over the last few years, we’ve worked with Rove, Tydo, Day One, Shrug Capital, Eberg Capital, Purpose Built Ventures, and many others. Public portfolio is here.
I recently met Avante Price within minutes of walking into Andrew Yeung’s event at the DL in The Bowery.
He's an impressive DJ-turned-Founder, and the CEO of Posh, a new type of event management platform that you may have already heard of. They have a handful of Tier-1 investors and I couldn't be more excited to work with them.
We kick off next week to help evolve the Posh brand, produce a video series, podcast, daily social content on all channels, a newsletter, blog, and quite a bit more. Our goal is to help build a rock-solid and sustainable marketing engine over the next 6 months. Be sure to give them a follow to see our work in the coming weeks ;)
